5 Social Media Marketing Tips to Dominate in 2019

12 Twitter Marketing Tips for Small Business Owners & Marketers

How to Calculate Twitter ROI

Get to Know Your Social Media Metrics
It doesn't matter which social media platforms you're using to promote your business?-if you're not measuring your results, you're wasting your time!
You need to be tracking things like which posts perform better than others, and which types of content your users like best.
According to Twitter, 336 million people use the platform every month. But early on, I was struggling to see the value of Tweeting. It was hard for me to justify the amount of time and effort I was spending on it, before I understood how to properly market there and calculate Twitter ROI (return on investment).
Yes, I saw many celebrities and big brands joining the platform, and it became an active community to Tweet about politics-Barack Obama even announced he'd won the 2012 presidential election on the platform.
But how could it work for me and my clients?
I see things differently now, and put a lot of effort into marketing on this platform (as you'll see by going to our account. I Tweet a lot)! But that's because I know how to calculate Twitter ROI, so I know what's working and what isn't.
Too many entrepreneurs don't effectively measure their efforts on social media. They also fail to realize how valuable their time is. They'll choose to DIY something to save money instead of hiring an expert to do it for them.
They don't consider the time they spend learning to do the task, the time they waste by not focusing on their business, and the fact that the expert probably could have gotten them far better results.
From my perspective, I see a lot of value in the social networking sites when it comes to visibility, brand enhancing, building relationships and being recognized as an expert in your industry.
But the key is to allocate your time wisely.
Put in enough time to achieve your goals and then move on to other important business-building activities. There's nothing wrong with spending some of your time on social networking, but spending hours a day at it is probably not the best thing for your business or your ROI.
Here's how to focus your time wisely on Twitter metrics:
Set up your goals.
Is it to get people to download a white paper on your website?
To fill out a form for a free consultation?
Only then can you effectively calculate ROI. You need to be able to see what people are doing, like clicking on a link you posted to get to your website.
Part of setting up analytics (Google Analytics or a paid platform) will be creating a tracking token per goal. Most marketers have more than one goal: on the home page it may be to sign up for a newsletter, while on an inside page it may be to download an eBook.
You want to be able to see which actions had which results, rather than ending up with a giant pool of stats you can't make sense of.
There are online tools that let you generate these tracking tokens, or you can hire a professional marketing company to make analyzing metrics much easier on yourself.
Get to know Twitter Analytics.
You'll find stats on everything from audience demographics to engagement rate here. I find some of the best insights here include:
? Tweet engagements and engagement rate. Engagements are the number of interactions a Tweet gets, while the engagement rate is engagements divided by impressions.
? Event and trending topic data. This shows you holidays and trending conversations so you can join in when and where it's relevant.
? Video content performance. According to Hootsuite, Tweets with video attract 10x as much engagement. When you've started Tweeting your video content, you can see how people are interacting with your videos, like if they're watching them to completion. Read 'Why Incorporating Video on Your Twitter Account is Good For Social Marketing'.
Don't forget the hashtags.
Hashtags can be a really effective marketing tool, but many marketers don't understand how to track their ROI.
Not sure what hashtags are? Check out 'A Newbie's Guide to Hashtags on Social Media'.
You can track the number of interactions with your hashtag (how many people like, share, comment or retweet the content) to see how well a particular tag is performing.
It's just one of the ways to see if the time and/or money you're putting into social media is paying off.
Check examples from the BizGalz, a global community of women and the men who support them as they "challenge the world, think big, & make change." During one of their recent Twitter Chats, they've asked people to name their favourite conference using the hashtag #BizGalz so they can easily see who's engaging with the chat.
Keep on tracking.
Depending on the size of your business, it may take some time to uncover viable stats. That's okay! Keep tracking and tweaking as you go along.
It's important not to lose focus on things like how many followers you're gaining or losing over time, how many shares your posts are getting, how certain hashtags are performing and so on.
While it may be a bit more difficult to calculate Twitter ROI than it is to simply see if someone has filled out a form on your site, it's worth it to spend some time focusing your marketing efforts there and getting familiar with your analytics. Chances are, your competitors are!
Find it challenging to find enough time in the day to get your business tasks done, nevermind social media? Or maybe you're just not sure where to even start.

A Successful Website Needs Link Popularity

Linking your site from other websites is one of the most common ways to get your site noticed on the internet.
However, there has been some misuse of this technique in the way of creating 'link farms'. This has caused the search engines to take notice and set restrictions of sites using this link farming technique. Moreover, if you are a website owner that uses link exchanges correctly, you can get some great results with this technique and see significantly more traffic coming to your site, which in turn will help increase your search engine ranking.
The basic method for link exchange is a simple link swap where you contact another website owner and offer to put their link on your website in exchange for them putting your link on their website. The correct terminology is a reciprocal link. You would usually do this with a website that had relevant content to your website.
Another common way to build links to your site is to pay for incoming links from high ranking websites. This is an effective method but the payment may be recurring on a monthly basis.
You can also add article marketing to build links. Article marketing is simply writing articles that are relevant to your niche and then submitting them to other websites, mainly article directories. With each article that you submit, you include a link to your website. You can then submit your article to high-ranking article directories like EzineArticles.com. Readers love to know more about the topic they are searching for and if you provide good information in your article then your readers will more than likely click on your link and visit your website.
Joining a forum online that relates to your niche is also a good idea. You can become a contributor by posting regular posts and comments. Set up your signature to include a link back to your website and every time you post on the forum you are creating another link pointing back to your site. If you make your comments interesting and informative, other forum members will likely click on your signature link and visit your website. Before you do this, please read the forum rules. Some forums strictly frown upon "plugging your site, product or business", while others welcome it. Some forums even have a thread set up specifically for self marketing, so make certain to read their do's and don'ts before hand.
Start a blog that uses RSS feeds and submit the blog to search engines and RSS directories. This will give you extra internet exposure and remember to link your blog to your website if it's not already part of your site. You can post new content to your blog regularly to increase ranking and exposure.
To increase the traffic to your website you need to be prepared to put in the time and effort required. There are also methods that you can pay for to increase rankings such as the point about paying for inbound links. You can also pay for AdWords advertising to promote your website. If you can afford to pay for these services they will benefit your website but if you can't afford them right now then just try some of the free methods.
With any of these link building methods you need to target a specific audience to your niche. This is particularly so with the paid methods as you don't want to pay to receive visitors that have no interest in your niche, product or service.
You also want to keep your current visitors coming back and you can do this by having an interesting and quality website that they will want to return to. Monitor each method that you use for building links and find which one's work best for you, then continue to build using the methods that are working well.

Selling on Social Media Without Driving People Away

By
5 Social Media Selling Tips & Warnings
Social media is one of the best marketing tools out there: you can grow and reach a large audience with content and ads, and people who like and/or follow you are your fans, so they're already your target group.
However, people can be resistant to selling on these platforms. They see sites like Facebook, Instagram and Twitter as places to share content and interact with friends, families-and nowadays, brands.
You really have to approach this the right way or you could alienate your audience, causing them to unfollow or unlike you because they expect a two-way conversation and engaging content, not to be marketed to.
It's also important to clarify that social selling doesn't mean advertising your product or service online for people to buy.
Social selling means you're using social media to connect with sales prospects and nurture relationships to hopefully convert them into customers.
For example, I recently did a Tea Time Tip about things that you need to consider before you start building your website. People could comment and asking questions in real time, and the Facebook Live had a lot of information about hiring a professional web development company.
So, I wasn't simply talking at people to hire us for their website-building needs; I was sharing pertinent information and nurturing those leads who might be looking for a company to help them out.
Now that we've defined social selling, let's discuss what you can do to increase your odds of success:
1. Think relationships, not dollar signs.
Make sure you're posting relevant, non-sales content. You want to become an expert resource in your industry, so focus on adding value to your users' feeds.
According to a study performed by LinkedIn, buyers who are active on social media welcome input from industry experts. In addition, 76% of buyers are ready to have a conversation with potential providers.
Get to know your potential customers by asking them engaging questions, answering their questions in a timely manner and responding to comments. The more trust and loyalty you build, the better your odds of converting a follower into a paying customer.
Read: The Power of Social Media Storytelling
Once upon a time your strategy was probably largely focused on sharing links to third-party content with your audience. Well, those days are over, and if you want to stand out in the crowded and noisy online environment, you need to focus on content marketing storytelling.
2. Take the time to build out your accounts.
Make sure that your bio and profile are filled out on all the platforms you want to use for social selling. You should include your website URL, About Us, phone number and any other relevant contact info.
It can also help to pin relevant posts, make sure your branding stands out and have high-quality images to attract followers' attention. Again, this builds trust and loyalty, making people feel more comfortable and secure doing business with you.
See how one of our clients, A Family Law Firm, has taken the time to not only fill out their contact info, but also the "Our Story" section on Facebook.
3. Choose your messaging wisely.
What works on one platform may not work on another. Where do your potential clients hang out? Where do they talk business, or go for restaurant recommendations? Generally:
* LinkedIn is more business-focused, so people are more comfortable with marketing messaging there.
* Twitter has a great search function, so you can more easily connect with prospects, and find relevant topics.
* Facebook has many communities that you can join and network in (remember, don't be pushy!)
* Instagram and Pinterest is for visuals, not long content pieces.
By tailoring your messaging for each platform, you'll be more likely to attract the right kind of customer.
4. Let user-generated content sell for you.
You don't have to do all the work of social selling alone! There are so many ways to use user-generated content (UGC) to your advantage, including:
* Contests and giveaways that encourage followers to share your content, hashtags and/or messaging.
* Ratings or reviews for your product or service
* Testimonials
For example, J.Crew posts user ratings and reviews on their website, so when they post a dress or shirt on their social media account and someone clicks on through, they see other people's votes of confidence.
Not only does user-generated content help you, but it helps your customers. Almost 80 percent of people say that UGC drives their purchasing decisions. It's a win-win situation!
5. Try, test and try again.
Every business owner should be tracking and measuring their efforts, whether it's a digital Newsletter push or a Google AdWords campaign. Look at your data and stats to determine what's working and what isn't.
Maybe people are being referred to a page on your website from your Facebook post, but they're only spending a few seconds on it.
You need to look at why that is: is your messaging unclear? Boring? Is there a broken link? By tracking your visitors' paths, you can see where you need to take a closer look.
Google Analytics is a free tool you can use to measure your website statistics, and there are also paid tools out there that can help you break down and understand your data.
The more you test and tighten your social media selling attempts, the better your ROI will be (and the happier your followers will be).
While social selling is different than traditional methods, it's still about building relationships and credibility. Focus on the person behind the platform, not on converting them into a sale or guiding them down a marketing funnel. Take the time to build connections and you'll create a community of prospects who will welcome hearing from you.

I'm Starting My Own Internet Business And I Need Answers

If you're starting your own internet business it can seem a bit overwhelming. As with any business, an internet business does require time, resources and determination to get started and maintain. But you can get bogged down with all the jargon and flood of information that you see online.
Here are some commonly asked questions that get asked when budding entrepreneurs start their own internet business.
What Does 'The Money Is In The List' Mean?
It won't be long after you've started an internet business before you come across the phrase 'The money is in the list'. This simply means the people that you have on your database, or email list, are the people who are most likely to buy from you. They are willing to receive emails from you because they are interested in your products and services. Email marketing is still considered the most effective online marketing method. Make sure that you're building an email list of prospects from day one.
What Is Affiliate marketing?
Affiliate marketing is a popular internet business model. It's like being a commission-paid sales person. You're called an affiliate because you're associated with the product but you're not part of the business that actually produced the product. When you promote the product and make a sale, the product owner will pay you a commission. It's a great way for starting your own internet business because you don't have to buy any stock, sort out any payment systems or arrange the product delivery. The product owner does all of that. Your job is to the find the customers and encourage them to visit the product's sales page.
Am I Too Old To Do Business On The Internet?
Getting results has nothing to do with age. It's about your determination to succeed. Every online entrepreneur has target audience who will connect to the way that they do business. Keep in mind that people by from people they know, like and trust. Believe in yourself and your audience will believe in you too.
How Do I Learn To Do New Stuff?
Go online and search for courses that will teach you what you want to know. When you buy a course, put into practice everything you learn before you think that it hasn't worked. And even then, go to the product creator and show them your efforts and see if they can help you get on the right track. Don't buy every course, tool and one time offer presented to you. You can get started with free or low cost choices before you re-invest in your business for a few upgrades.
An internet business provides the opportunity for many of us to fulfill our entrepreneurial ambitions. Ambitions that perhaps would not be possible in the traditional business world. But that's not to say that you can ignore all the regular rules of business. Regardless of your niche or industry, if you master the following 4 skills, success will certainly follow

How To Make Connections On LinkedIn The Right Way

LinkedIn is a fabulous online networking tool that can help you grow your connections and business.
The problem is because it's online, there are a lot of lazy people out there who rely on the standard request:
"I'd like to add you to my professional network."
How many times have you received one of these requests to connect from someone on LinkedIn that you've never heard of before?
They're maddening, aren't they?
I'm not the greatest at remembering names, so I guess there's a slim chance that I may have met them at a conference or networking event.
The problem is, by sending LinkedIn's generic invitation if you're "unknown" to the recipient, it's probably going to be ignored.
Make it personal
It's my understanding that the only way you can personalise your request is if you click on "connect" from the person's LinkedIn profile from your desktop or laptop. You don't get the option when using the app.
From my point of view, if you want to connect with me, you need to tell me why.
There are a lot of folks out there that want to make themselves look well connected by sending requests to every Tom, Dick and Harry.
What's the point in that?
LinkedIn loses its effectiveness as a potential marketing tool if you're connecting to random people.
No. If you want to get the most out of it and want to connect to certain people, give them a damn good reason why they should accept.
How to be personal
It goes without saying your LinkedIn profile should carry a professional photo of you. Leave the ones of you cycling, running, or dancing on tables for Facebook.
Then you should always start your request with a greeting bearing the recipient's name (spelt correctly).
Tell them how you know them. Perhaps you have mutual acquaintances, follow each other on Twitter, or met at a networking event, conference etc.
Once you've done that tell them why you want to connect with them followed by a short description about what you do.
Finish off with a bit of flattery about their work (not so much that it's creepy or embarrassing) and sign off in a friendly way.
Personally, if I get the generic connection request, it's very unlikely I'll accept (especially if I don't know the sender) and I'm sure I'm not alone.
If you want to make an impact and some valuable connections, put in the effort to make it personal.

Networking in a Digital World

A dedicated support system is crucial for personal and professional success. Networking has and will play a vital part in your business. Face-to-face networking and handshaking is still a fantastic way to do business, but with the Internet at are fingertips and available everywhere, there's a new way to connect and communicate with people.
Networking is the process of searching for contacts. Not just to be a collector of people, but to get involved, get connected and to help build each other up. It may still be about handshaking, passing out business cards, giving your elevator speech, and wearing name tags, but we should view networking as establishing and maintaining authentic relationships.
So, why do we network?
Engage with people who will have a positive impact on us and our business.
  • Swap ideas and stories with others.
  • Find clients and partners.
  • Find a job or recruit potential employees.
  • Gain feedback and insights.
  • Get inspired!
  • Present yourself as an SME (Subject Matter Expert)
  • Generate and build leads.
  • Establish meaningful relationships, personally and professionally.
LinkedIn is a global social networking site for people in professional occupations. In a sense, it is a bit like Facebook - you create your own profile for others to see, but it is used for professional purposes. Members build a profile of their job history, interests and experience - an online Resume if you will - and 'connect' with former colleagues and people in their line of work.
Like most social media websites, your journey on LinkedIn begins with creating a personal profile. Many LinkedIn profiles are abbreviated resumes due to LinkedIn's professional tone, but with the new concept of Social Selling we need to think of your profile as a brand. Employers look for inside information on candidates such as professional interests.
10 ways to build you and your brand on LinkedIn:
1. Update your profile is the first step in marketing you and your business.
a. From the top toolbar, click Me.
b. Click View Profile.
c. From here you can take the time to edit your profile by adding education, experience, volunteer experience, and so much more. Click the pencil next to a section to edit, or click the more button (three dots) to access more features.
d. Make sure to save all changes.
2. Upload a Professional Photo. Make the first impression count, in about 6 seconds someone has crafted an opinion of you through your photo and your profile. You want your potential customers/connections to answer the following questions about you.
a. Are you trustworthy?
b. Are you someone I want to do business with?
c. Can I recommend you to my friends and clients/customers?
3. Create a standout Headline. Your headline is the important real estate that appears next to your name in search results. The wording of a headline may determine whether a new potential client searching through LinkedIn contacts you. Done well, your LinkedIn headline can be used to promote your brand statement, marketing message, most enticing expertise, and more.
a. This should not be your job title/description.
b. Why should people stop and take a closer look at you?
c. What impressions are you leaving behind?
d. What do you do?
e. Use keywords or core words. Make your headline fit with SEO, Search Engine Optimization.
f. Demonstrate real value to your potential clients, customers, etc.
4. Claim your LinkedIn Username: Personalize your LinkedIn URL, own your brand. You are the brand we are talking about, claim your URL, so that when someone searches for your name they will find your public LinkedIn page/profile. Visit your profile and select the edit public profile URL option.
5. Add Skills: When updating your skills section, make sure you use relevant updated keywords. For example, potential buyers/customers probably won't be searching for "cold calling", try to mirror your buyer's skills/needs.
a. Use SEO keywords.
b. Add up to 50 skills to your profile.
c. The skills with the most endorsements from your connections will be listed first.
6. Endorsements: Skill endorsements are a wonderful way to recognize your 1st-degree connections' skills and expertise with one click. They also let your connections validate the strengths found on your own profile. Skill endorsements are a simple and effective way of building your professional brand and engaging your network.
7. Write a summary: Why should you fill it in? For starters, it gives the reader a quick overview of who you are, what you do, what you are looking for and most importantly, what you can do for them. Think like your buyer, what's in it for me?
a. Demonstrate your expertise, make sure you include keywords.
b. Show them that you are a valuable resource.
c. Add a video, a minute video equals 1,000 words!
d. Include Call to Action Statements, this could include companies/clients you've helped, include your signature with contact information, keywords that are important to buyers.
e. Demonstrate the value you offer, be their solution.
8. Experience: This is the time you can treat LinkedIn like your resume. Add your previous and current jobs, making sure to include key industry words so that you will be found in searches. When you add who you worked for and you find their name in the drop-down list, your experience will then have their logo beside your name because they created a company business page.
9. Add Connections: On LinkedIn, the people who are part of your network are called your "connections". Connect with people with whom you have worked or done business with, or people with similar interests or work in your industry. You can ask someone to join your professional network by sending them an invitation to connect. LinkedIn encourages networking by showing you exactly how your connections are related.
10. Engage with your connections: Status updates are short messages that are typical of many social networking platforms. While posting updates on LinkedIn is like Facebook and Twitter, it's also different. From your LinkedIn home page or your Edit My Profile page, you can change your status update as frequently as you like.

Making The Most Out Of Your Network Marketing Campaign

There are many ways you can succeed in network marketing and earn a decent living. But there are many more ways in which you can fail. Unless you know all the angles out there, you're not going to move forward in business. This article will explain some great tips you can use, to help your MLM campaign to flourish.
Keep track of your shortcomings and analyze why they exist.
It is important to keep track of the money you make in your network marketing strategy. There has to be a point where you choose whether or not to continue if you're not making enough profit to survive on. When that point is can be set before you sign up so you won't have any doubt in your mind if that time comes.
While you should build a site for network marketing, social networking sites can help you get started. An interesting and well written blog, frequently updated blog is a good technique to add, can give you a good start. Your network will grow more quickly if you establish your online presence.
When you're engaged in network marketing, it's imperative that you are able to visualize success as you define it. That may seem overly simple, but in network marketing, it's important to be able to visualize the future. After all, your future network size has a lot to do with how successful you will be in this field. Using positive future visualization is an accepted, and widely practiced part of network marketing.
Whether you cultivate the lists from the people who have signed up on your site or you purchase it, it is imperative that you have a rather large email list to help you continue to grow your business.
When building your network marketing business, adhering to a schedule is one of the best things you can possibly do. Setting and sticking to a schedule allows you to treat your marketing efforts like a real business and will keep you from procrastinating and taking lightly what you should be focusing on intently.
Become the leader in network marketing. Use one-of-a-kind promotions to make your creativity to create a campaign that stands out. Try to find a specific niche for your network marketing business, as you should always be as original as possible when marketing.
Avoid using network marketing jargon when you're speaking to a prospective client. There are many phrases that are commonly used within network marketing circles that will not be understood by people who do not work in such a circle. Explain terms if you must use them, but be careful not to talk down to clients.
It is important to be knowledgeable about the product you are selling. Customers are more inclined to join a higher likelihood of joining your network if it is apparent that you fully believe in your product. If you learn about the product enough, you will be able to give truthful testimonials.
Work towards a goal of making money in your sleep. Network marketing CAN lead to passive income through your downline. So make your goal to have enough referrals to pay your bills entirely. After you hit that goal, every new referral becomes "gravy", extra money for you to use for fun things like trips.
Look to the organization's leaders for ideas. Imitating these people will only help you closer to the top.
When recruiting a new lead, speak to them in terms they can understand. Instead of saying why YOU like the job, listen to what they talk about and figure out why THEY would love it. Let them know about perks that fit into their lifestyle, like a flexible schedule.
Video marketing can help you drive targeted traffic to your network marketing websites.
Help your downline by setting goals for them and giving them a reward for achieving them. Hold a contest to see who gets the most referrals in a month and reward the winner with some sort of prize, like an iPad. Building motivation through incentives is an excellent tool for your repertoire.
Look at independent distributors to see how to model yourself when using network marketing professionals are doing and learn from their successes.
When it comes to network marketing, it is extremely important to consider that your content needs to not only be easy to read but also presented in a unique way to your subscribers. This is important because you want people to be attracted to your content as well as be able to digest this information quickly before becoming bored and turning elsewhere.
Choose a network marketing company that has products of interest to you. If you have a passion for these products, you will be able to more effectively market them and may translate to them being more interested.
Avoid dictating goals to potential recruits when you are recruiting for your network marketing program. Telling recruits what they should want out of your program alienates them and destroys the trust that good recruiters develop during the recruiting process. Let your recruits express their own goals and then tell them how your program will fit them.
Everyone loves to get something great for only a bargain! Seek out network marketing company that include coupons you can give to your customers. People will be more likely to take an interest in the product if they have a bargain rate.
As you read previously, there are many ways in which you can reach success, but even more ways to fail. Network marketing is unforgiving and thus, you need to approach it with as much knowledge as you can. What you just read throughout this article, are some great ways to help you succeed. Do not take them for granted.

The Impact of Online Social Communities on Your Business

When it comes to online social communities, people naturally gravitate toward them. Humans, by nature, are social animals. They are comfortable in groups and they feed off of each other's energy and they like to bounce ideas off of each other (among other things).
Being Engaged and Engaging Is Essential
You definitely need other people to succeed in business. In fact, without them, you will not have any business at all. You need them to eventually buy what you are selling. For that reason, online social communities work well for many things, including giving each other what the other wants and needs. You want your relationship to be mutually beneficial.
Whether you start an online social community or you join one that has already been established, your approach will be the same (minus some possible administrative responsibilities that you may have if you establish the community). It is important to remember that you are not in it by yourself no matter what. A community is a group of people who share one or more common interest.
Social media is the backbone of online social communities
Social communities are very important to the success of most businesses. It is a classic case of one hand washing the other. Businesses need online social communities to help them to fortify the social aspect of their institution. On the other hand, online social communities need businesses because they need to live and grow somewhere. Businesses can provide just such a forum and a platform for those online social communities to do just that. It is very important for you to remember that online social communities are not just for personal use. They are extremely beneficial to businesses as well.
From the marketing perspective, combining online social communities with business is truly a marriage made in Heaven. Those communities are the power behind successful marketing efforts on the part of the business. Some of the positive results that come out of that alliance are that the online social communities allow businesses to:
  • Develop solid, enduring relationships and networks that are built on trust
  • Bring people together who can share a mutually beneficial relationship
  • Participate in active, successful engagement
A wide variety of online social communities
The online social communities that you choose for your brand/business will depend on the goals that you have in mind. Those goals will drive you to pursue certain groups and certain people. You certainly have a great deal of communities from which to choose. Your chosen communities can go a long way to satisfying your business' marketing needs.

Now that you understand how online social communities work (more or less), it is important for you to understand that engagement is an essential part of the successful functioning of those communities. You should keep in mind that even though the communities are social in nature, that doesn't mean that your business will not benefit from them in the ways that you want them to. In fact, there are many effective tools that you can leverage in order to get what you want out of your engagement in those communities. Interestingly, there may be aspects of your communities that are not obvious (or even apparent).
For example, if you are a member of a community that has 2,000 members, you may still find that only 50 of those members are actively engaged in discussions and other interactions. The truth is that not every member has a desire to be heard. Some people only have enough of an interest to listen and learn, which, of course, is okay too. However, you still need some people who are more vocal than that. Otherwise, nobody would be interacting about anything. You will want to encourage as many group members to participate in the discussions that occur but you don't really have too much control over it in the end. There are many different ways to engage other people in addition to leaving a comment or a thought-provoking question. You can put out a survey (with three to four questions) or run a contest with an incentive (a discount on your products and/or services, some sort of prize, etc).
Participating in online social communities doesn't happen by itself
Undoubtedly, you understand clearly that online social communities are about people. The platforms and forums that are used are helpful (you might even go out on a limb and say that they are essential) but they are still not as important as the members of the community. In fact, the choice of platform and forum are not nearly as important as the people. Many platforms/forums can be used by communities simultaneously. One added benefit to being a part of an online social community is that it gives you the support that you may need to embrace what your competition is doing and to gather some really valuable competitive intelligence.
Conclusion
The effectiveness of your online social communities depends, in large part, on the community members and their ability to act as effective resources. In turn, you (and each one of the members) will help each other to get what is needed and wanted. After all, you are all part of the same community (think of it as a family) and that is what families do. They help each other whenever it is needed. You can use your online social communities in many different ways, including discussing products and/or services and gaining valuable feedback, which will help you to bring your business to the next level.

Effective Digital Marketing Strategies

For digital marketing to be effective, you need a clearly-defined campaign strategy. As a small business owner in the Gold Coast, limited budgets additionally emphasize the need for strategic decisions.
Online marketing strategies differ from business to business. Every business needs its own distinct and specific strategy that is best suited for its industry or niche, be it construction, restaurants and coffee bars, plumbing, roofing, real estate, or even a dentistry practice.
Combining SEO and PPC ad campaigns
A very common and usually effective strategy involves adding PPC ads to your SEO tactics. How does this work?
•1. Do detailed research on relevant keywords to your local business and the industry in general. Then, simply choose those powerful enough to bring in the largest amount of traffic.
•2. Know your target audience; their location, gender, age group, and most importantly, income. Identify your biggest customers in this group; those who have the potential to give you the greatest rewards. 3. Optimize your website and content using SEO. Build an optimized landing page on your site. This is where visitors are taken to once they click on your ad. It must be able to give them that needed push to make a purchase.
• 4. Then, craft compelling ad copy for your PPC ads. Let your words grab the attention of potential customers.
• 5. Place your PPC ads in places where your target audience are most likely to see them and of course, click.
•6. Track your conversions and results using customized tools. How much did you spend on ads? How much did you make in return? How many views? What was the overall number of clicks and visits within a specified time period?
• 7. Review your successes and failures and figure out what is working and what is not. Then, make the necessary adjustments.
• 8. Maintain your online presence by continuously optimizing your content and site.
• 9. Regularly modify your marketing strategy and campaigns to reduce cost while keeping customer retention and revenue at an all-time high.
Rather than PPC, you might decide to combine your SEO with social media marketing as it is way cheaper. PPC, on the other hand, helps you reel in those customers that are ready to make a purchase. The chances of conversion are way higher than social media advertising. At the end of the day, choosing an effective internet marketing strategy depends on your preferences, the needs of your Gold Coast business, and your priorities. The bottom line remains that whichever strategy you decide on, it must reach and engage your target audience. It must not only drive traffic to your site, it must also convert this traffic to actual sales and increased revenue.
